XFX AMD Radeon HD 6970 900Mhz XXX Edition Unboxing
Today we have the XFX Radeon HD 6970 XXX Edition. The Triple “X” edition means it is slightly overclocked. When I say slightly, I mean a 20Mhz OC on the core & 100Mhz OC on the memory compared to the normal version of XFX’s HD 6970.
This particular card/model uses a reference design pcb, unfortunately it has no backplate if you are a fan of those.
This is the equivalent replacement (in price) to the HD 5870 of the last generation.
The specs of this partciular card are as follows:
900Mhz Core
5600Mhz Memory
2GB GDDR5
HD-697A-CNDC, version 1.0 (if that is of any importance to you guys)

Had to sellit begining of last year because i went off to University and didn’t have to net, also needed cash.
Got a Toshiba Satellite atm, pretty good specs for a laptop.

CPU: Q6600 @ 3.0Ghz, Antec 900 nVidia Edition.
RAM:Corsair Dominator DDR2 @ 1066Mhz
MOBO:XFX 780i, FSB oc to 1333Mhz
VIDEO CARD: Inno3D 9800GTX+

CASE: Antec 900

Temps are usually decent if your okay with noise levels. This card is alright at idle but ramps up loudly when under load. SC2 at max settings, temps will be ~63-64 degrees.
