Canon EOS C-300 Hands-On at CES 2012
The Canon EOS C-300 is a new video camera from Canon. It records in the super 35 format, has 12 stops of dynamic range at 850 iso, and is better in low light capabilities than the 5D Mark II.
My question is where does this fit into the market? It is priced at $20,000 and the first lens is $45,000. It is not going to replace DSLR cameras for video. As for the high end stuff, the RED has much higher resolution and there are some 4K and 8K TV’s showing their heads. What do you guys think?
Here is some C-300 sample footage:

$20000 for the body and $45000 for that len… My car would be hardcore-tuned with these prices combined + the car itself.

for 65000 I could start decking out my truck and probably get close to finishing it, I like really high performance.
