More Bad Press for Gamers
Some kid in Philly bludgeoned his mother to death with a claw hammer because she took away his Playstation privileges. Apparently they got into an argument over something and fought for over an hour. By the end of it the mother had taken away his Playstation. This was not a spontaneous murder, he plotted it out for about 3 hours before killing his mother while she slept. He then tried to cremate her in the oven, but when that didn’t work he dumped her out back. People didn’t find out for two days, when his family got suspicious of her disappearance and called the police.
I’m worried about people blaming video games for this one too. Clearly this kid was unstable for other reasons; he seems like he’s got his fair share of issues beyond his gaming habits. It is a rather unfortunate correlation, though, and the crime is pretty disgusting.

This has only happened like 10x a year and each kid has to be mentally unstable. No mentally stable kid/adult would do something like this because they got their gaming device taken away. I blame parents more for letting their parents play stuff for hours on end for days. They need to go outside and play some basketball or ride a bike.

Poor kid should become an hero, which is the most lesser harmful way. But the George Washington Bridge is at NY though.

Me one month ago: played video games all my life and didn’t understand why people did shit like this.
Me now: working 40 hours a week and traveling for like 3 hours a day in public transport; suddenly I understand why people go crazy all the time.
