GreenSLi said:
What AMD seems to be doing, is to actualy have higher prices on their products, because the performance gap isnt that big between the two anymore, so amd sees the oppurtunity to actually move away from bang for the buck we all know them for.. A good example is 6990, same price as 590 (very close)

Well Nvidia definitely won for this generation of cards, which I kind of saw coming. As for the 6990 vs the 590, though, I'd personally probably rather have the 6990. It tends to perform better in the games that I enjoy playing.

Considering I have an AMD system now and using the sli hack for my 460′s, I have no doubt this is possible. Even if this was a joke, I’d still get it for what it’s capable of doing thanks to very smart people on the internet.

haha didn't even think that people would do something like that.. might take a bit to come out at first but still nice to see it can be done.

Oh really.
GTX 5xx vs 58/59xx series seems more like an nvidia win (except for the dualgpus) to me. Especially the 560 (or 460 for that sake)

to be honest, if fluctuates... and it also depends on your budget.. im not sure if i want to call the 6xxx a clear win... but ati (well...amd) has rly levelled the playing field. im not disputing there is a performance gap... but it sure has lessened in the past few years.

Lol, usually because AMD offers more bang for the buck.
