PowerColor Radeon HD 6870×2 Unboxing Video
I’ll be benchmarking this thing in the next day or so. It looks to be a beast. I thought it was two PCB boards at first until I took it out of the box and realized it was a single PCB. Now I need to get my hands on a second one of these and see how both of them run together.

This shot with the new 5D? Because this looks a million and one times better than the other videos.

Yea, we used the 5D. It’s about time we got it too, time for “real” videos.
Also as this is my first post I should probably mention that I’m the Cameraman/Editor, among other things.

Does Nvidia have a dual gpu card on the market? I am not buying Ati for my next card because of the Crysis 2 DX11 update problems and some other stuff. But I was wondering since I’ve never heard of a dual gpu card from them. It’s weird.

well there is the 590 for Nividia if I’m not mistaken it is two down-clocked 580s on a single card

Nvidia has the GTX590 but seriously DO NOT get a dual gpu card, they run hot, they’re loud, and they’re overpriced.
Also even though ATI(AMD now) and Nvidia are about even now, AMD cards are still better for the price imo

welcome!

I wonder if this card has exactly the same performance as two crossfired 6870s??
21 Jul 2011, 5:35 pm
Well I did not know the 590 was just that. And I don’t see myself spending $700 in a gpu… ever! But these cards are supposed to be faster than any SLI or Crossfire combinations you can make because all of the communication between the gpus is internal and thus faster. I think I may be going for a 570 whenever I have the money if it’s still a good choice.

That’s not always true. Most dual gpu cards are downclocked a little bit, which means that two individual gpus would run faster (as long as they were the same gpu). I don’t know if the gpus on this card are clocked the same or not as a single 6870 though.
