It’s your PC, and going by what you have now, you’ll see a huge improvement in anything you buy, Future proofing is a lie as well as a idiotic way to go about building a computer.

Sandybridge will be replaced
The next thing will get replaced and so on and so on and so on.

So my message to you OP, is either wait for (can’t believe I’m saying this) Bulldozer, OR, wait till sandybridge boards are re-released.

That is my outlook and I hope it provides you with some idea.

They fail to see the connection between having same names on two different sockets, but still not being the same arcitechture (1366 i7 vs 1156 i7 anyone?).
And I had totally forgotten that LGA2011 was rumored to get quad memory, so another reason for it to be reality.
