&lt;p&gt;If he didn&#039;t, I&#039;d advise him to just look at the posts that are clearly helpful.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It&#039;s your PC, and going by what you have now, you&#039;ll see a huge improvement in anything you buy, Future proofing is a lie as well as a idiotic way to go about building a computer.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Sandybridge will be replaced&lt;br /&gt;
The next thing will get replaced and so on and so on and so on.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;So my message to you OP, is either wait for (can&#039;t believe I&#039;m saying this) Bulldozer, OR, wait till sandybridge boards are re-released.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;That is my outlook and I hope it provides you with some idea.
