Crysis 2 Minimum System Spec Requirements
The minimum requirements for Crysis 2 have been posted here: http://www.facebook.com/crysis.de
- OS: XP/Vista/Windows 7
- CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo with 2Ghz, AMD Athlon 64 x2 2Ghz
- 2 GB RAM
- HDD: 9 GB
- DVD ROM: 8x
- GPU: NVidia 8800GT 512Mb RAM, ATI 3850HD 512Mb RAM
- Audio: DirectX 9.0c
- Keyboard, Mouse or Microsoft Xbox360 Controller for Windows
I imagine the game will be a slideshow with these specs at anything other than the lowest quality setting but at least people with an 8800GT will be able to “test” the game before they decide to upgrade their cards.

8800GT….that is pretty freaking low!

-minimum- requirements the phrase “just because you can doesn’t mean you should” would definitely apply here, you can play audio surf on my PIII laptop with intel GFX, doesn’t mean you’ll get good frame rates on medium (I do get about 20-30 low though lol)

So pumped for this. Game supports DX11 too. Just going to be amazing.

lol, I remember Logan talking about the 8800 series and getting ready for Crysis 1 back when these cards first came out when he was at TD

If you have a 8800gt you seriously need to upgrade LMAO

Definitely, people seriously need to get with the now. I was playing CoD online with a guy still running a 9600 GT, I was like what is wrong with you.

Wait what?? Those a minimum specs? I recall an interview saying that Crysis 2 would have lower minimum specs than Crysis 1

I have a GTX 580

Well it looks like I’ll be upgrading just in time. I’ve got a 9600GT right now, and I’m going to be upgrading to a couple of 6850s in crossfire fairly soon.

Um, I’m just now getting into PC gaming, (mainly because I didn’t have a good enough system or tech knowledge) but is Crysis a good game, like enjoyable? It seems to me people consider it like more of benchmark than a game, boasting that they could play it, but is it worth playing for the sake of playing? The point being, is it fun?

I LOVED crysis, but alot of people hated it.
Its a beautiful sci fi shooter.

cool, I’ll check it out as soon as i receive GB of Ram for my back up rig, I hope I can run it, I know my gt240 can handle it, just not sure about the CPU/ram
edit, I have a single core athlon neo 1.8 @2.3, ordering the 2nd gig of ram tomorrow
03 Feb 2011, 2:45 am
lol. I could run it on high on my 8800gt/q6600/2gb ddr2

I enjoyed Crysis alot. I like how you can do every missions the way YOU want. Stealth, or just storm in with grenades etc.

The only thing I like about Crysis (Warhead) is the graphics. Story is plain boring, and gameplay is even more boring. Crysis is a “play-once-in-a-lifetime” game like Bioshock.

yeah when Starcraft II dropped I had the minimum spec on board gpu. oh it ran, at like 2 FPS. absolutely unplayable.
