First of all, it looks like Halo. Which is bad…
Secondly, they could be console screenshots, they could be PC. Either way, it would make sense.
There’s definitely enough aliasing for it to be a console screen, though.
Thirdly, if it’s anything like Crysis 1, then I’m getting it for the PC. Namely, because I can’t play FPSs at 30 frames a second with a gamepad, it’s simply too painful.
Overall, though- Meh.

I Just hope they fix the A.I cause the first game had bad A.I, I’m most likely going to get it for consoles because my PC can barely play the first game on medium settings, hope the game turns out to be good.

Sweet! i hope my HD5770 can handle this monster!
14 May 2010, 11:34 am
Very Likely!
14 May 2010, 12:11 pm
looks fucking sick, im pumped!
14 May 2010, 12:27 pm
Damnit, the HUD looks shittier than the origional.
14 May 2010, 1:07 pm
Yeah it seems that way
Also, the new enemies look like fun. I think these are console screens. Based on the fact that every tech demo was done on the consoles.
14 May 2010, 1:50 pm
I read somewhere that the HUD was just a placeholder; It’s not the final product.
14 May 2010, 2:34 pm
Well thank god.
14 May 2010, 7:59 pm
YES
14 May 2010, 2:26 pm
They look crap?
14 May 2010, 3:34 pm
Looks kickass cant wait.
14 May 2010, 3:49 pm
HUD looks fine, graphics, look shit.
Don’t care about that though.
Urban setting is dumb.
Overall I don’t think it’s going to be good.
14 May 2010, 4:01 pm
Seems like a piece of pie for the 295.
14 May 2010, 4:26 pm
No AA? :\ Well I won’t really comment on the graphics till I see some SS from the PC version. I like the new setting however. The blood looks like it’s going to be over the top though.
15 May 2010, 6:15 am
This is really weird…..the aesthetics resemble a mix between GRAW and Halo, and the graphics are somehow remembering me of Unreal Engine 3.
The crisp edges of elements in mid range shows that no AA filters were used, combined with the tesselated-like wall on the right and the elevation on the right bottom corner of the second screenshot makes me think this comes from Xbox 360.
Time will tell

Crysis was a horrible game. No ty. Super open world FPS = No TY
Spending 30 min lost in a forest and unloading an entire clip on one korea.
Yah crysis was a giant piece of crap.
15 May 2010, 10:15 am
I’d much rather play a game in a “Super open world FPS” where I take the path I want and choose how I want to approach a situation than a linear FPS with only one way to get to a point.
15 May 2010, 12:32 pm
Well, first of all, Crysis wasn’t “super open world”; It was a mix between linear and open world.
It gave you the ability to approach objectives in a multitude of ways, but they kept it linear enough as to keep the objectives clear and maintain the momentum.
>unloading an entire clip on one korea.
It only took 1 headshot, or about 5 body shots. Compared to HL2, that’s pretty darn easy.

Sometimes there were those glitches where they went tank mode and never died though…
15 May 2010, 4:00 pm
Yeah?
To be fair, I played Crysis about 1 or 2 months after release. So, I didn’t encounter many glitches, because it was patched.
15 May 2010, 4:02 pm
It still happens sometimes, maybe it’s just the guys with obscene amounts of shoulder, shin, arm, and torso bullet proof pads… I’m not sure.
15 May 2010, 4:07 pm
Never had this happen to me either man. I guess I got lucky.
16 May 2010, 1:00 am
never had the issue either. Crysis was a fucking fantastic game, regardless of what people say. the graphics technology was integrated in a way that it enhanced the gameplay, through physics and environments. I’ve never really played a game quite like crysis. You multimanage a single person as if it were like playing DOTA, all while using the usual fps elements, with many approaches. I mostly just applaud the innovation they used in crysis, and even if they dont change much gameplay-wise, im sure I’ll like it because of the completely changed environments and enemy behaviors.
16 May 2010, 4:00 am
I love Crysis for a reason: It was the best looking game up to the date it was released, in november 2007. Nothing could stand up to that in detail, vastness and physics…fact.
But if you take away the graphics, you’ll see that there is not much beyond it…..the storyline is kind of weak to a game wielding those graphics, so is the poor replay factor and the annoying “anti-eastern-and-alien-nuclear” cliche stuff, which makes me feel more and more right about the fact it is nothing but a graphics DX10 benchmark showcase and a technology demonstrator…it was sort of cool because no single card could run it at full settings even one year after the release.
I’m really serious about that point of view, this f*cking game made the Moore’s law cycles happen 2x times faster than it was predicted by Moore. not 16 monthgs, not 18 months….the graphic cards are coming out in a bizarre 8 month scale, and hell THANKS to that, I could buy my HD4870 1gb for $160usd one year ago. Because it was sort of “crap” if compared to the new high end DX11 cards of the 5000 series and they wanted to get rid of the old but still fast cards. And I hope this sh*t happens forever, so people like me, who doesn’t have one f*cking billion dollars to spend in a card can have decent quality gaming for a decent price.
Right now I support the Nvidia vs ATI competition, and I hope it keeps on to make things cheap and affordable… it’s evolution, baby!
16 May 2010, 10:35 am
Evolution, and Capitalism.
Let’s just hope that Crysis 2 will push the hardware as much as Crysis 1 was able to.
22 May 2010, 9:47 pm
The graphics don’t look that revolutionary.
The gun he is holding looks plain, plus it doent look like you can zoom.
